I joined a Chinese new year collaboration project at the end of last year. Clients asked me to create artwork for a scarf that will placed in New Year packaging as a gift. They also needed the pattern of the scarf so as to make a series of package designs and a present campaign.

The image I created shows the excitement experienced by people travelling throughout the world. My thinking behind this design is that the limited-edition products will be available in duty-free shops near airports. The "Chinese Fan" element, which is a key icon, representing the branding of the New Year, is an integral part of the artwork design.
